Timothy is a pastor, an author, a leader, a husband, and a father. He and his wife Lori Brown live in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina where they are raising their six children.
Meet Timothy
Dr. Timothy Brown is a husband, father, and pastor at heart. He and his wife, Lori, have been married since 2009 and are joyfully raising six world changers—three boys and three girls. They are committed to building a Christ-centered home, believing that the greatest ministry begins with the family.
Heart for the Local Church
Dr. Brown serves as the Lead Pastor of Radiant Church in Western North Carolina. Under his leadership, a once-struggling congregation has experienced renewed health and sustained growth—more than tripling in in-person attendance and growing over fourfold when including online engagement. To God be the glory! Radiant Church is seeing God work through passionate prayer, congregational ministries, steadfast commitment to biblical preaching, gospel clarity, and intentional discipleship.
Preaching
Timothy has been preaching the Word of God for nearly three decades and is passionate about communicating Scripture in a way that leads to real-life transformation. He often says he teaches not just for information, but for transformation. As a storyteller-expositor, he helps people see the beauty of Jesus and apply God’s truth to everyday life. His ministry experience spans church plants, small churches, and large multi-site congregations. Timothy loves to preach verse by verse through books of the Bible.
Education
Timothy holds a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Exposition (Preaching) from Columbia International University. He has also served as an adjunct professor of preaching and leadership at CIU, investing in the next generation of ministry leaders. He is deeply committed to mentoring pastors and students to preach faithfully, lead humbly, and shepherd courageously.
Outreach
Beyond the local church, Timothy hosts a weekly nationally syndicated radio program, Truth for Transformation, which airs on over 470 radio stations across the country. The program features full 25-minute sermons and one-minute devotionals, bringing gospel-centered teaching and encouragement to listeners nationwide.
YouVersion Bible App-Timothy is an active contributor to the YouVersion Bible App, where his devotional plans help believers around the world to engage Scripture daily with clarity, depth, and practical application. His writing encourages readers to pursue a deeper walk with Jesus by grounding their faith in biblical truth and living out their identity in Christ.
New Book
Timothy recently released Go After Jesus, a compelling call for believers to move beyond passive faith and follow Christ wholeheartedly. Rooted in the believer’s new identity in Christ, the book challenges readers to live with bold obedience, spiritual intentionality, and a renewed passion for Jesus in everyday life. This is a fresh approach to discipleship based on one’s identity in Christ. The “DO” flows out of the “WHO.”
Life Mission
Timothy’s heart is to encourage, empower, and equip believers to live out their full redemptive potential in Christ. Whether preaching, teaching, writing, or leading, his desire is to help people passionately pursue Jesus and live on mission for God’s glory.
